About Me

I’m Toria, I’m sort of shy and goofy and I have a special kind of LOVE for art, technology, nature and exploring my surroundings. In the past I have been a successful web and graphic designer who has worked with some of today’s biggest young talents. I am also the Founder/CEO of an online support website for young stars. However, I’ve found that my biggest love is for photography.

My love for photography and my obsession for capturing moments date back to my childhood, but it wasn’t until around year 2008 when I discovered that photography was my passion. I have always been into taking photos, recording videos, journaling and just about anything that would later help me to relive moments. I guess you can say I’m the nostalgic type. When I was around 12 years old my mom bought me a video camera for Christmas. It was one that only recorded in B & W and it had to be plugged into the VCR in order to record, but it quickly became my favorite gadget. With it, I made tons of videos of my friends and family doing ordinary every day things. To this very day I still have all of these videos filled with fond memories packed away and I never plan to rid them.

For me, photography is not only another form of art and creative self-expression — although that is just as important, but it is also another way of freezing time, and saving moments that can otherwise be lost and forgotten. For these reasons, I wish to specialize in youth with my photography. Children grow and change so quickly and there’s nothing that can catch these fast passing moments like a photo. They are also very carefree, imaginative, candid and honest which makes them a joy to work with. I love to capture a child’s every mood and emotion whether they’re at play, sleeping, laughing, crying or just being silly.

I want to become a whimsical creative portrait, commercial and editorial photographer for children. I have always been inspired by cuteness and colors. I love pattern, design, arts and crafts, imagination, scrap booking, props, dress up, fashion-forward kids and FUN. My goal is to incorporate all of these things into my photography. I love the entire creative process that goes into making a photograph from coming up with fun shoot concepts to sketching out visions, making props and ultimately bringing my visions to life.
